Respite Care for Regional Center Consumers
At Virtue Home Care, we understand the unique needs of individuals and families supported by the California Department of Developmental Services, through the various Regional Centers throughout the State. Our respite care services are designed to provide relief and support to families caring for loved ones with developmental disabilities.
Virtue Home Care is an approved vendor of the North Los Angeles County (NLACRC) and Westside Regional Centers (WRC), with whom we work to ensure seamless coordination of care. Our goal is to support families and individuals by providing high-quality respite services that meet their unique needs and preferences.
What is Respite Care?
Respite care offers temporary relief to primary caregivers, allowing them to take a break from their caregiving responsibilities while ensuring their loved ones receive quality care in a safe and nurturing environment. At Virtue Home Care, we offer flexible respite services tailored to the specific needs of Regional Center consumers.
Our Approach
Personalized Care Plans: Each individual’s needs are unique. Our team works closely with families and Regional Centers to develop personalized care plans that address medical, developmental, and emotional needs.
Experienced Caregivers: Our caregivers are trained professionals with experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. They provide compassionate care and support, ensuring a comfortable and enriching experience for our clients.
Safe and Supportive Environment: We maintain a safe and supportive environment where individuals can thrive. Whether it’s assistance with daily activities, medication management, or companionship, our caregivers are there to provide the necessary support.
Who We Serve
We work with individuals of all ages—children, teens, and adults—who are eligible for regional center services under the Lanterman Act. This includes individuals diagnosed with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Cerebral Palsy
- Epilepsy
- And other qualifying developmental disabilities
Benefits of Respite Care
Relief for Caregivers: Taking care of a loved one with developmental disabilities can be physically and emotionally demanding. Respite care allows caregivers to rest and recharge, reducing stress and burnout.
Quality Care for Individuals: Our respite services ensure that individuals receive consistent care in a familiar setting, promoting stability and well-being.
Opportunities for Social Interaction: We encourage social engagement and activities that promote independence and social skills development.
